Shifu Lin Chugen, the resident bonesetter of an old apartment building, gets an unexpected guest one day – his estranged daughter ShuXian has left him with Sarah, his New York-born and raised granddaughter. The girl has never gone anywhere other than America, and prefers playing on her phone than being with her grandfather.
Shifu Lin himself doesn’t speak a word of English, and doesn’t even know what the “Internet” means. The two must learn to live with each other – and thought that journey, they will discover how similar they are after all.
